Honda Marine at the 2011 International Boat Show PDF Print E-mail
23 August 2011

COCA-COLA DOME, Randburg. August 12, 2011 – August is a month for many great things, it signifies the end of winter, Tri Nations Rugby and of course the Annual National Boat Show. The latter being the only thing worth talking about.

Once again Honda Marine’s presence was publically noted and confirmed by taking home, the ‘Best Engine Display’ award on Saturday Night. This a special reward, because on display was the all new BF250 engine. A motor destined for great things in our local market.

Regarded as the biggest boat show in Africa, Honda knew it was time to go big and big they did. With 540 square meters of Honda power, the stand was attracting loads of people. Between the grand display of Honda products, the gorgeous Honda promo hostesses and the prize give away competition, which ran for the whole weekend, the stand was busy non-stop.

Although the official numbers haven’t been given yet, there is speculation that the number of visitors to the show was down from last year, which is confirmation of where the market is at the moment. Those who did come, however, were spoilt when it came to attractions. Our main attractions were the all new BF250 engine display and test BF90 running in a tank. This interactive demonstration proved very popular with the show goers.

Honda catered for all boaters and all wallet sizes with a large spectrum of craft available. From the large offshore cats namely the Raptor 820 and 8 meter Lee Cats to the small Panache 1450 and 3.7 meter Catskee.

With a spread like this it is no wonder that Honda outboards are still the fastest growing outboard brand in South Africa. With each passing year, the Boat Show improves on the year before and we look forward to what Honda Marine will do next year in their uncompromising quest to make people’s dreams come true.

Honda would like to thank all those who visited the stand and look forward to seeing you again next year.

2011 PS Honda Marine - Bass Team PDF Print E-mail

Honda announces the team that will compete in the 2011 BETT SA Championships. Chad Anassis & Barry Devenish will enter as the Portable shade and Honda Marine officially backed ‘PS Honda Marine Team’.

Related to Brad Anassis, founder of the ultra successful Anassis Superbike Racing Team, Chad Anassis seemed the obvious choice. The result convinced Honda that team Anassis will be a winning combination to partner with. Passion, performance and proven results on the track by brother Brad Anassis has set the bar high for the Bass team to match, but they are adamant that they have it in them to bring home not only the silver-wear but the right approach towards the marketing efforts of Honda SA.
